*Visit of Minister of Economy of Republic of Azerbaijan to Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC)*

*Islamabad: April 08, 2025*

A high-level delegation of Republic of Azerbaijan, led by H.E. Mikayil Jabbarov Minister of Economy, visited Pakistan on April, 8 2025 to elevate bilateral economic cooperation.

The delegation visited SIFC to explore investment opportunities; the high level officials of SIFC warmly received the delegation and gave detailed briefing covering investment opportunities in various key sectors of Pakistan and the thriving investment ecosystem.

During the visit, the Azeri side expressed strong interests for investment in key areas including
regional connectivity &  infrastructural projects including strategic nature motorways,
oil & gas exploration and oil pipeline projects. special economic zones,  mineral development, energy sector collaboration and IT & digital innovation.

The visit is marked by a spirit of partnership and mutual growth and is expected to lay a strong foundation for enhanced investments from Azerbaijan in identified areas of Pakistan. 

This fruitful engagement will serve as a precursor for the upcoming visit of the  President of Azerbaijan to Pakistan and help transform these stated- interested into concrete projects and agreements.
