U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome Meeting with President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari

Today U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome met with President Asif Ali Zardari to discuss a series of issues important to the relationship bilateral relations, especially the United States' support for continued economic reform, human rights, and regional security.The Ambassador emphasized the importance of our two countries' shared interests and the countless opportunities to advance our common goals, including through high-level dialogue and the Green Alliance framework. The Ambassador condoled the loss of Pakistani soldiers in the recent terrorist attack in Waziristan and assured the President that the United States stands with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
