Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, His Excellency Atajan Mulvayev, at the Prime Minister’s House.
Turkmenistan Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on his re-election on behalf of the Turkmenistan leadership.
The Prime Minister thanked the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the Leader of the People of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Garbenguli Berdimuhamedov, for their thank you messages. Talking about the meeting he had with the two leaders, the Prime Minister expressed his hope that this meeting will continue in the future.
Touching on the importance of long-term, historical and cultural relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan, the Prime Minister said that there is a need to further develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of trade and communication. Activities related to regional cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of increasing high-level exchanges and bilateral approaches between the two countries.
Turkmenistan Ambassador informed the Prime Minister about the activities of the two countries.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan and Head of Diplomatic Department in Islamabad appreciated the cooperation and support shown by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state institutions in carrying out their duties.
