The Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC) is being organized by the Pakistan Navy in collaboration with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.  At present, the opening ceremony of this exhibition is going on in Expo Center Karachi.  Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the chief guest at the opening ceremony of PIMEC.  Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi is also present on this occasion. A large number of civil-military, foreign and local delegates are also participating in this event today. The Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference is being held at the Karachi Expo Center from February 10-12. The objective of the exhibition is to promote awareness among national stakeholders and the international community about the potential of Pakistan’s Blue Economy. More than 130 exhibitors, including foreign and local firms, are participating in this first-of-its-kind exhibition and conference.

Along with the exhibition, the International Maritime Conference is being organized by the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) from 10 to 12 February 2023 under the auspices of the Pakistan Navy where eminent international and national scholars will present their papers.  .  The title of the conference is ‘Promotion of Blue Economy – Challenges and Opportunities for Developing Countries’.
