LOS ANGELES, 24 September, 2026 (Nosheen): US pop star Taylor Swift has announced an expanded edition of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” titled “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” featuring four new songs set for release on Friday. Swift said the additional tracks were written after the album’s major success following its release last October, when all 12 songs reached the top 12 of the Billboard Hot 100. The new edition will include “Patient Zero,” along with “Cleveland!”, “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.” Swift said she wrote the songs with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback during a trip to Sweden following the album’s release, explaining that they had initially travelled there to celebrate the record’s success but returned to the studio to create more music. Martin and Shellback have worked with Swift on several of her previous studio albums. The announcement followed Swift’s appearance in a comedy sketch at the Emmy Awards earlier this month, which prompted speculation among fans that she was preparing to release new music. According to Luminate, the lead single from “The Life of a Showgirl,” “The Fate of Ophelia,” generated 92.5 million official US streams in its opening week.
