Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reaffirms commitment to interfaith harmony, national unity, and minority rights

Islamabad, April 5, 2026( Kamran Raja); Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has extended heartfelt greetings to the members of Parliament belonging to the Christian community, as well as to the entire Christian community in Pakistan, on the joyous occasion of Easter 2026.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that Easter conveys a universal message of love, hope, and peace. He acknowledged that the Christian community residing in Pakistan is playing a significant role in the country’s development and progress. He emphasized that religious festivals serve as an important means to promote interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and brotherhood. He further remarked that Easter teaches the values of sacrifice, forgiveness, and service to humanity. He noted that all religions advocate peace, tolerance, and coexistence.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq underlined that the protection of minority rights in Pakistan is both a constitutional and national responsibility. He reaffirmed that the Parliament of Pakistan remains committed to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all citizens. Referring to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam, the Speaker stated that minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete religious freedom and are an integral part of the nation. He stressed that national unity, cohesion, and mutual respect are essential for achieving sustainable development and prosperity.

On this occasion, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq urged the entire nation to demonstrate love, solidarity, and harmony. He called upon everyone to collectively strive for building a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive society. He prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan and across the world.
