According to reports, construction of the palace began between 1975 and 1978, with Butt building the magnificent structure to express his love for his wife and commemorate their silver wedding anniversary. Zahid Butt said his wedding had initially been a simple ceremony, but on the occasion of their silver jubilee, he arranged a grand celebration for his wife. During the celebration, his wife was dressed as a bride and weighed against silver, an occasion he described as the beginning of a new chapter in their love story alongside the construction of the unique masterpiece. Visitors entering Sobia Palace get a feeling of stepping into a royal era of the past, with handcrafted carvings, intricate workmanship, domes and traditional decorative elements adding to its beauty.
