DERA ISMAIL KHAN, 28 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday, according to sources. The operation was conducted under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam after security forces closely monitored the movement of terrorists in the area and successfully targeted them. A large cache of weapons and ammunition, along with Afghan currency, was recovered from the killed terrorists. Security forces reiterated their commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country and ensuring lasting peace. In a separate operation, Lakki Marwat Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed a wanted terrorist commander identified as Manzoor, who was reportedly wanted in several terrorism cases and attacks on civilians. The operation was launched against terrorists allegedly involved in an attack on players returning from a match in the Abdul Khel area, which left three soldiers dead and three others injured a day earlier, according to police. During the operation, security personnel killed Manzoor and took his body into custody, while a search operation continued in the area to locate other suspects allegedly involved in terrorist activities.
