
Johannesburg, November 13, 2025(Kamran Raja): The G20 Startup20 Summit kicked off today in Johannesburg, South Africa, with the participation of a Saudi delegation led by President of the Saudi G20 Startup20, Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser. Supported by NEOM, the event brings together representatives from government entities, the private sector, and non-profit organizations active in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Saudi Arabia’s participation reflects its leading role within the G20 and its continued efforts to empower entrepreneurs, support startups, and strengthen its presence in international platforms focused on innovation and sustainable development.
As part of the summit’s activities, the Kingdom inaugurated a Saudi pavilion showcasing national achievements and major investment opportunities in entrepreneurship. The pavilion highlights national projects, the growing Saudi entrepreneurial ecosystem, and an array of startups and investors, with particular focus on technology, energy, and the creative economy.
The Saudi delegation also organized several interactive workshops aimed at sharing experiences in enabling startups and exploring opportunities for cooperation with participating countries to build sustainable and globally competitive business ecosystems.
In his remarks, Prince Fahad bin Mansour emphasized the importance of continued support for innovation and entrepreneurship as key pillars in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. He noted that the Kingdom’s successes in this field demonstrate the maturity and global competitiveness of its entrepreneurial landscape.
The summit continues with broad participation from entrepreneurship leaders and representatives of G20 member states to discuss the future of startups, mechanisms for supporting them in addressing global challenges, and ways to foster growth and positive global impact.
