Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif's two-day visit to Azerbaijan

24 February 2025 Islamabad(Kamran Raja): Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited “Yadgar-e-Fath” in Baku to pay homage to the heroes and martyrs of the 44-day war for the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh. Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif today visited the recently constructed “Victory Monument” commemorating the Karabakh War (44-Day War), Azerbaijan’s historic victory in restoring its territorial integrity.
The Prime Minister laid a bouquet of flowers at the monument and paid tribute to the sacrifices of Azerbaijan’s national heroes who bravely defended their homeland during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, recording his comments, said that this magnificent monument of victory is a symbol of extreme courage, courage and national pride and is a proof of unwavering spirit and determination of Azerbaijan.

He praised the extraordinary bravery and national determination shown by the Azerbaijani nation during the 44-day war. The Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan will always stand with its brother country Azerbaijan in full solidarity and appreciates its efforts for peace, stability and prosperity in the region. The visit to the Victory Monument, a symbol of Azerbaijan’s national pride, reflects Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to support Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Investment and Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ataullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi were also present.
