20 January 2025, Islamabad (Kamran Raja): Prime Minister said Today, by the grace of Allah, Gwadar has crossed another milestone to create an important connection between Central and East Asia and Middle East and Gulf countries. The activation of Gwadar Airport is an important step towards the development of communication links not only in Pakistan but also in the entire region. The activation of Gwadar Airport will bring prosperity to the development of Pakistan and the region through CPEC. Today, we have come closer to fulfilling the joint commitment of the Chinese President Xi Jinping and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for the development of Pakistan and the region through the CPEC. By the grace of Allah, CPEC started during the era of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and its important milestones are also being crossed under his leadership. The entire nation, including me, is grateful to the Chinese leadership and the Chinese government Equipped with international facilities, Gwadar Airport is a prime example of Pakistan-China friendship. China is the ideal brother of Pakistan who has always played an important role in the construction and development of Pakistan.
I pay tribute to the government of Balochistan under the leadership of Defense and Aviation Minister Khawaja Asif, Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, security officers, personnel and military leadership for their tireless work day and night for the construction of the airport.
