Islamabad: 6 February 2026(Kamran Raja): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist blast at an Imambargah in Tarlai, Islamabad. The Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of innocent worshippers and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience and strength for their families in this hour of grief.
The Prime Minister held a meeting with Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi and directed that a thorough investigation into the incident be conducted to immediately identify and apprehend those responsible. He emphasized that the perpetrators must be brought to justice and awarded exemplary punishment. The Prime Minister also instructed that the injured be provided with the best possible medical treatment and directed the Federal Minister for Health to personally oversee medical arrangements.
Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the Prime Minister stated that no one would be allowed to spread chaos, extremism, and instability in the country, and that the state would deal firmly with all elements involved in such heinous acts.
