ISLAMABAD, 03 September, 2026 (Ghufran): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday directed authorities to finalise the detailed plan and construction timeline for Daanish University within two weeks. Chairing a review meeting, the prime minister said the university should provide international-standard education and professional training to talented students from underprivileged and middle-income families. He directed the authorities to develop an effective outreach programme to create awareness among deserving students and ensure their access to the institution. The meeting was briefed that internationally qualified faculty would be engaged, while efforts to collaborate with a leading US college for the university’s academic system were also nearing completion. The prime minister directed the authorities to ensure timely completion of preparatory work and maintain high standards of education and infrastructure. Federal Ministers Dr Musadik Masood Malik and Attaullah Tarar, Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, members of the Daanish University Board and senior officials attended the meeting.
