Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Historic Defence Agreement Reflects Successful Diplomacy: Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi

Islamabad, 07 August, 2026(Kamran Raja): Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the entire nation on the signing of the historic joint defence agreement between Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Republic of Türkiye.In a statement issued o n Friday, the Federal Minister described the trilateral defence pact as another landmark achievement of Pakistan’s successful diplomacy and effective foreign policy. He said the agreement reflects the country’s growing international stature and its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with brotherly Islamic nations. Hanif Abbasi said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan has opened a new chapter in defence and strategic cooperation with friendly Muslim countries. He added that the agreement would further enhance collaboration in the fields of defence, security, and regional stability.

The Minister termed the joint defence pact a powerful symbol of the unity of the Muslim Ummah and a significant step towards ensuring collective security and peace in the region. He further stated that the agreement marks a new milestone in enhancing Pakistan’s global standing, defence capabilities, and diplomatic achievements, while reinforcing mutual trust and cooperation among the three countries.
