Pakistan Railways Earns Record Revenue During Eid Holidays

March 24, 2026(Kamran Raja): Pakistan Railways has achieved a significant milestone by generating record revenue from passenger train operations during the three days of Eid. According to official figures, the railway earned PKR 110 million on the first day of Eid, PKR 170 million on the second day, and over PKR 200 million on the third day. In total, Pakistan Railways generated more than PKR 1 billion in revenue from passenger trains over the past week. Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi attributed this record-breaking performance to the government’s positive and effective policies, stating that the railway administration deserves appreciation for its efforts.

The Minister further directed authorities to continue improving passenger facilities, emphasizing that providing better services and a stronger railway track system is the right of every traveler. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, announcing that the Karachi–Rohri railway track will be fully upgraded within the next three years. Pakistan Railways remains committed to enhancing service quality, ensuring passenger comfort, and strengthening the country’s rail network.
