New York, 23 March 2026(Kamran Raja):The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York commemorated Pakistan Day with a dignified flag hoisting ceremony held at the Consulate premises.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the hoisting of the national flag by the Consul General of Pakistan, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, in the presence of officers and staff of the Consulate.
Messages from the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were read out on the occasion. The messages highlighted the historic significance of Pakistan Day, paid tribute to the vision and leadership of the founding fathers, and underscored Pakistan’s continued commitment to unity, resilience, and progress amid the country’s contemporary challenges.
In his remarks, the Consul General reflected on the enduring relevance of the Lahore Resolution and the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He emphasized Pakistan’s journey marked by resilience and determination, and underscored the importance of economic strength, national cohesion, and collective effort in shaping a stable and prosperous future. He also appreciated the positive contributions of the Pakistani-American community in strengthening Pakistan’s image and fostering closer ties between Pakistan and the United States.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold the ideals that led to the creation of Pakistan and to work collectively towards its continued progress and prosperity.
