Pak Navy ship Yamama Visits to Jeddah and participated in a bilateral exercise

Islamabad, 29 Jan 2025 (Kamran Raja): The Pakistan Navy’s newly commissioned ship Yamama visited Saudi Arabia on its voyage from Romania to Pakistan. Upon arrival at Jeddah port, the ship was warmly welcomed by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and senior officials of the Pakistani Embassy. During the port stay, the ship’s commanding officer held meetings with Saudi Arabia’s leadership. Ships of the Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces participated in the bilateral exercise.

The objective of the exercise was to improve interoperability between the two navies and develop the capability for joint operations. Both navies demonstrated a commitment to ensuring maritime security and regional stability. PNS Yamama’s visit to Saudi Arabia will further strengthen the fraternal ties and defense cooperation between the two navies. PNS Yamama is the last of the four ships of the Pakistan Navy to be built at the Daman Naval Shipyard in Romania.
