Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Sameh Hassan Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the sidelines of the 15th Islamic Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Banjul, Gambia.
The two leaders discussed various aspects of Pakistan-Egypt relations and underlined the further strengthening of relations characterized by common faith, cultural diversity and common understanding on ‘worldwide’ regional and international issues.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs praised Egypt’s important role in the humanitarian response to the people of Gaza. Both sides stressed the importance of an immediate and irreversible cessation of hostilities in Gaza and requested immediate assistance from Gaza.
