LAHORE, 13 September, 2026 (Ghufran): The nikah ceremony of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s daughter, Mahnoor Safdar, was held at Jati Umra in Lahore in a private family gathering attended by senior PML-N leaders and close relatives. PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, along with other members of the Sharif family and relatives, attended the ceremony. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb were also present. According to family sources, Mahnoor Safdar’s husband, Azaan Jabbar, belongs to a prominent business family. His father, Jabbar Khalid, is a well-known industrialist, while the family is associated with the flour milling industry. Meanwhile, videos from the nikah ceremony have gone viral on social media, showing Mahnoor dressed as a bride, while another video shows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif driving Nawaz Sharif and other family members to the ceremony. Mahnoor Safdar recently returned to Pakistan after completing her higher education and graduation from SOAS University of London. Maryam Nawaz had also travelled to London to attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony. During the graduation ceremony, Maryam Nawaz expressed her happiness and said that, by the grace of Allah, all three of her children had completed their higher education.
