Justin Greaves Named ICC Men’s Player of the Month for July 2026

DUBAI, 18 August, 20026 (Nosheen): West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for July 2026 following a string of impressive performances with both bat and ball in Test cricket.Greaves beat England white-ball captain Harry Brook and Bangladesh batter Tanzid Hasan to claim the monthly award after playing a decisive role in West Indies’ ICC World Test Championship campaign.The all-rounder enjoyed a particularly productive month at home, helping West Indies secure a draw against Sri Lanka before producing a match-winning display against Pakistan.“I have had a memorable month playing at home, and to have contributed with both bat and ball against Sri Lanka and Pakistan has been particularly special for me,” Greaves said after receiving the award.“Having impactful performances in Test cricket is always something I will cherish, especially when they come in front of our home fans.”

Greaves began the month with a remarkable batting display against Sri Lanka after the visitors posted 549/9 declared. West Indies were struggling at 144-4 when Greaves took charge, producing a superb 180 off 344 balls, including 14 fours and two sixes.His marathon innings helped the hosts put themselves in a position to survive the contest and eventually secure a draw, with West Indies going on to complete a 1-0 series victory over Sri Lanka and earn valuable WTC points. Before facing Pakistan, Greaves also featured in two ODIs against New Zealand, scoring 32 runs at a strike rate of 114.28 while opening the batting.
