Makkah, Saudi Arabia, August 11, 2025(Kamran Raja): Judging Panel Hears Recitations of 17 Contestants on Second Day of 45th King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition. The judging panel of the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, continued its final-round proceedings today at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
On the second day of the competition, the panel listened to the recitations of 17 contestants—eight in the morning session and nine in the evening session representing the competition’s five categories. The day’s participants hailed from Mali, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, the Maldives, Albania, Australia, Egypt, Libya, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Hungary, Yemen, Malaysia, and the Russian Federation.
The first day of the final round featured 14 contestants, bringing the total number of participants heard so far to 31. The competition continues to showcase exceptional talent from around the world, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting the memorization, recitation, and interpretation of the Holy Quran.
