Israeli military says it strikes southern Lebanon after Hezbollah launched drones

BEIRUT, 06 September, 2026 (Ghufran) – The Israeli military said it was striking southern Lebanon early on Sunday in retaliation for Hezbollah firing two drones at Israeli soldiers stationed in an area that Israel has declared a security zone. The Israeli military had issued an evacuation warning to people near a building in the town of Arab Salim in southern Lebanon, saying the site was being used by Hezbollah and would be targeted. On Friday, the Israeli military said it had struck weapons storage facilities in southern Lebanon that were intended for use by Hezbollah. Since March 2, Israeli strikes have killed more than 4,300 people in Lebanon.
