ISLAMABAD, 10 August 2026 (Kamran Raja): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation late Sunday night with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, during which the two leaders discussed regional developments, including the situation in Occupied East Jerusalem. Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah congratulated DPM/FM Ishaq Dar on the recent signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. The two foreign ministers also reviewed Pakistan-Kuwait bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including follow-up to Sheikh Jarrah’s recent visit to Pakistan and ways to further enhance cooperation and investment in key sectors. Both sides agreed to maintain close engagement and continue consultations on issues of mutual interest.
