Berlin, 26 September, 2026 (Nosheen): Germany have suffered a double injury blow ahead of their Nations League clash with Greece this weekend, with Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala ruled out, the German Football Association (DFB) said on Friday. Arsenal forward Havertz was substituted during the first half of Germany’s 1-1 draw against the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Thursday after appearing to suffer a hamstring problem. The DFB confirmed that the 27-year-old sustained a muscle strain but did not provide a specific timeframe for his return. Bayern Munich midfielder Musiala, 23, was injured during the warm-up before Thursday’s match and did not feature in the game. A scan later revealed that Musiala had suffered a muscle tear in his thigh. Germany coach Jurgen Klopp has called up Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Burkardt to replace the injured players for Sunday’s match against Greece in Augsburg. The two forwards were part of the second squad initially selected from a 44-player group for Germany’s four international fixtures.
