Four Terrorists Killed in Peshawar CTD Operation

PESHAWAR, August 28, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Four suspected terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Peshawar on Thursday. According to the CTD Peshawar Region, the operation was carried out in Mehr Gul Kalay Cemetery in the Mirakchori area. During the operation, security personnel recovered three Kalashnikovs, a pistol, a hand grenade, seven magazines and several cartridges from the possession of the slain suspects. The CTD identified one of the deceased as Syed Wali, son of Abdul Ghani, a resident of Nangarhar, Afghanistan. An Afghan refugee card was also recovered from his possession. According to the CTD, Syed Wali was suspected to be among three suicide bombers who had previously entered Pakistan from Afghanistan to carry out terrorist attacks. Further investigation into the matter is underway. The CTD said a search operation was continuing in the area to apprehend other suspected terrorists who managed to escape during the operation.
