Early on March 16, 2024, six terrorists assaulted a security force position in the Mir Ali neighbourhood of North Waziristan District
Once their own forces stopped the first attempt at entry, the terrorists drove a car packed with explosives into the post. They then carried out several suicide bombings, which caused a section of a structure to fall and resulted in the Shahadat of five courageous sons of the land.
The Shuhada consist of the following: Sepoy Nasir from Peshawar; Sepoy Raja from Kohat; Havildar Sabir from District Khyber; Naik Khurshid from District Lakki Marwat; and Sepoy Sajjad from District Abbotabad. All six terrorists were successfully fought and consigned to hell by the own forces under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Kashif throughout the course of the subsequent clearance operation.
However, after fighting valiantly and leading his troops from the front during a fierce firefight, Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali (39 years old, Karachi resident) and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar (23 years old, District Talagang resident) made the ultimate sacrifice and accepted Shahadat.
The security forces of Pakistan are committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism from the nation, and the valiant sacrifices made by our warriors only serve to reinforce our determination. A sanitation operation is being carried out to eradicate any further terrorists who may be present in the region.
