Peshawar, 30 October, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry visited Peshawar and held an interactive session with students and faculty members from various universities, focusing on Pakistan’s national security, regional challenges and the role of youth in countering misinformation. Students from different educational institutions warmly welcomed the military spokesperson and presented him with a traditional Pashtun turban and shawl as a mark of respect. During the discussion, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry briefed participants on the country’s security situation and emerging regional challenges, while also responding to students’ questions and addressing their concerns. The participants expressed their support for the Pakistan Army and acknowledged its role in combating terrorism and safeguarding national security. Students said the session enhanced their understanding of responsible social media use and helped them recognise the tactics of propaganda warfare, underscoring the importance of awareness and critical thinking in the digital age.
