Dhaka,24 August 2025(kamran Raja): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, called on Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Begum Khaleda Zia, at her residence today.
Extending warm wishes on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, Senator Ishaq Dar expressed his prayers for Begum Zia’s speedy recovery and continued well-being in view of her prolonged indisposition. He also conveyed special greetings from the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Acknowledging her contributions as a former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Senator Ishaq Dar lauded Begum Khaleda Zia’s services to her nation. The meeting also fondly recalled her historic visit to Pakistan in 2006, which had further strengthened the bonds of goodwill between the two countries.
The interaction reflected the commitment of Pakistan to fostering friendly relations with Bangladesh, rooted in mutual respect and shared history.
