New York 09 March 2025( Nosheen): The Consul General of Pakistan, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, attended a special Iftar dinner organized by the City Council and the Pakistani leadership of Nassau County, Long Island. The event brought together a diverse gathering of Pakistani Americans and other South Asian community members to celebrate the spirit of unity and reflection during the holy month of Ramadan.
Nassau County’s Chief Executive, Mr. Bruce Blackman, was also in attendance, underscoring the county’s commitment to fostering cultural and interfaith harmony.
During his address, Consul General Atozai commended the Pakistani leadership of Nassau County for their dedicated service to the community. He also highlighted the significance of Ramadan as a time of spiritual renewal, generosity, and togetherness. The Consul General later distributed citations amongst the deserving Pakistanis for their selfless services to the community.
The event served as a testament to the strong ties between the Pakistani-American community and local leadership, reinforcing shared values of inclusivity and mutual respect.
