Rawalpindi, 31 July, 2026 (Kamran Raja): A high-level delegation from the Republic of Belarus, led by the Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Defence Minister, Major General Pavel Muraveiko, called on the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI(M), T Bt, at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. The Naval Chief warmly welcomed the visiting dignitary and his delegation. During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on matters of mutual professional interest, with particular focus on enhancing bilateral defence cooperation and expanding collaboration between the armed forces of Pakistan and Belarus.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf reaffirmed that Pakistan highly values its longstanding relations with Belarus and is committed to fostering a long-term, multidimensional partnership across various sectors, including defence and maritime security. Major General Pavel Muraveiko appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s professional capabilities and acknowledged its continued contributions towards ensuring regional maritime security and stability. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the existing defence ties and agreed to further strengthen and diversify bilateral cooperation through enhanced engagement and collaboration.
