BARCELONA, 10 August, 2026 (Ghufran): Barcelona have rejected an initial offer from Paris Saint-Germain worth around €40 million ($46.2 million) for Spanish World Cup winner Ferran Torres, according to a source within the Catalan club. The source confirmed that negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing.Spanish media reports claim that the 26-year-old forward has agreed to join PSG and reunite with his former Spain coach Luis Enrique. Torres, whose contract with Barcelona runs until June 2027, has remained cautious about his future, saying that although he has a contract with the club, “in football you never know” and that he wants to make the right decision.Torres joined Barcelona from Manchester City in 2021 for more than €55 million and has primarily played as a centre-forward since Hansi Flick took charge in 2024. The former Valencia academy player has scored 40 goals in 94 appearances across all competitions over the past two seasons. He also scored Spain’s winning goal in extra time against Argentina in last month’s 2026 World Cup final, helping La Roja secure their second world title.
