Ambassador of Palestine calls on the Prime Minister



Ambassador Ahmed Jawad A.A. Palestinian Ambassador Rabei visited the Prime Minister today. The Prime Minister was appointed by Foreign Minister Szen. Muhammad Ishaq Dar, SAPM Tariq Fatemi and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Prime Minister thanked the President of Palestine, dr. Mahmoud Abbas sent warm congratulations after his re-election. He said that Pakistan has close and historic relations with the fraternal government of Palestine and has continuously supported the cause of Palestine in the UN, OIC and other international forums.

The Prime Minister strongly condemned the current Israeli brutalities in Gaza, which have persisted unabated since October 7, 2023, and demanded an immediate end to Israel's genocidal war against the heroic and innocent Palestinians. He expressed deep sorrow over the terrible deaths of over 32,000 Palestinians, including 17,000 children, and the injuries sustained by more than 70,000 people as a result of Israeli security forces' cruel conduct.

The Prime Minister recalled the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) interim verdict in South Africa's case and noted that Pakistan had also submitted a verbal declaration in support of Palestine before the ICJ.

While celebrating the approval of UNSC Resolution 2728, the Prime Minister was disappointed that Israel opted to ignore the resolution and continue to flagrantly violate it.

He assured the Palestinian Ambassador that Pakistan would continue to express sympathy with the Palestinian people in all international forums.
Pakistan has provided seven tranches of aid material to Gaza. Another tranche is planned shortly after Eid.

The Palestinian Ambassador praised Pakistan's Prime Minister and people for their support, which provided them with strength during this tough moment.
