Warriors extend unbeaten run with 24-run victory over Champions

FAISALABAD, 02 November, 2026 (Ghufran): Muneeba Ali-led Warriors continued their impressive run in the PCB Women’s Super-3 T20 Tournament, securing a third consecutive victory with a 24-run win over Tuba Hassan’s Champions in the fifth match at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, on Monday. Chasing a target of 155, Champions were bowled out for 130 in 19.2 overs, with left-arm spinner Ayesha Bilal leading the attack with four wickets for 15 runs. Ayesha dismissed Saira Jabeen, Najiha Alvi, captain Tuba Hassan and Tayyaba Imdad to restrict Champions’ chase and was later named Player of the Match. Warriors’ spinners Zunash Abdul Sattar and Rameen Shamim also made valuable contributions, taking two and one wicket respectively, while pacer Diana Baig claimed two wickets. Natalia Parvaiz scored 31 runs and Shawaal Zulfiqar added 22, but their efforts were insufficient to take Champions to victory. Earlier, Warriors posted 154 for eight in their allotted 20 overs after being put in to bat. Hafsa Khalid top-scored with 47 off 36 balls, while Rameen Shamim contributed 29 and Sadaf Shamas scored 22. Hafsa and Rameen added 65 runs for the fifth wicket after Warriors had slipped to 66 for four, while Diana Baig provided a late boost with 19 runs off 14 balls. Tayyaba Imdad took two wickets for Champions, while Tuba Hassan, Momina Riasat, Fatima Khan and Ayesha Rehman claimed one wicket each. With three successive wins, Warriors will face Incredibles in their fourth match on Tuesday. Incredibles, having lost all three of their matches, are out of contention for the final, while Champions have secured their place in the title clash with two wins from four matches.
