Mumbai, October 17, 2026 (Nosheen): Indian actress and model Nushrratt Bharuccha has been discharged from a Mumbai hospital following successful surgery and is now recovering at home. The 41-year-old actress suffered a spinal fracture in an accident during her visit to Bali, Indonesia, where she had travelled for work and leisure. After receiving an initial medical assessment abroad, she was airlifted to Mumbai by air ambulance for advanced medical treatment and surgery. According to a statement released by her team, Nushrratt is recovering well after going through a difficult and challenging phase. The statement confirmed that she has returned home, where she is receiving proper care, but will need time and complete rest to make a full recovery. Her team also expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered their love, prayers, concern and good wishes during this difficult period. The update came after the actress shared a brief glimpse of her hospital stay on social media. In the video, she was seen enjoying the romantic song “Gerua,” featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, with the assistance of medical staff. She had also thanked her well-wishers and said she was continuing her treatment with a positive attitude while gradually recovering. Nushrratt, who rose to fame with the film Pyaar Ka Punchnama, was last seen in the 2025 film Uff Yeh Siyapaa, which also featured Sohum Shah, Nora Fatehi, Omkar Kapoor and Sharib Hashmi in key roles.
