Islamabad, 1 October, 2026 (Ghufran): Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has said that Pakistan cannot afford long marches, stressing that political issues should be resolved through dialogue rather than protests. Speaking to the media ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s planned long march, Mustafa Kamal said such protests had not produced meaningful results or achieved their objectives in the past. He maintained that sitting together and holding dialogue was the appropriate way to address political disputes, adding that a long march could not provide a solution to the country’s problems. Commenting on petroleum prices, the federal minister said that even a change in government would not necessarily lead to cheaper petroleum products. Mustafa Kamal also spoke about the Pakistan-India conflict, saying that the war between the two countries in May had not ended and was continuing in what he described as a more dangerous form. He claimed that Pakistani soldiers were being killed on a daily basis and alleged that India, after losing the war, was now pursuing a proxy war.
