PESHAWAR, 28 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Lakki Marwat Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have killed a wanted terrorist commander during a joint operation in Lakki Marwat, police said. According to the City Police Officer (CPO), the slain commander, identified as Manzoor, was wanted in several terrorism cases and attacks on civilians. The operation was launched against suspects allegedly involved in an attack on players returning from a match in the Abdul Khel area a day earlier, which left three soldiers dead and three others injured. During the operation, security personnel killed Manzoor and took his body into custody. Police said a search operation is underway to locate other suspects allegedly involved in terrorist activities. Authorities stated that further details would be shared as the operation progresses.
