Islamabad, 26 September 2026 (Kamran Raja): State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) strengthened its position against Ghani Glass on the second day of their third-round President’s Trophy Grade-I match as Hasan Raza and Abdullah Fazal shared an unbeaten 378-run opening partnership on Friday. Ghani Glass were bowled out for 322, with Ali Razzaq scoring 101 off 129 balls, including 13 fours and three sixes. Arshadullah and Shahid Aziz claimed three wickets each for SBP, while Sirajuddin took two. In reply, Hasan Raza remained unbeaten on 204 off 203 balls, including 28 fours and two sixes, while Abdullah Fazal scored 168 not out off 207 deliveries, hitting 19 fours and four sixes. SBP closed the day at 378 without loss, leading by 56 runs. At Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Sarmad Bhatti scored an unbeaten 122 to guide Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) to 377-8 against Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL). Bhatti shared a 145-run partnership with Faheem Ashraf, who scored 83 off 100 balls, while Mohammad Hasnain took three wickets for OGDCL. At Diamond Cricket Ground, Muhammad Hurraira remained unbeaten on 133 as Kingsmen Academy reached 237-2 in reply to Pakistan Television’s 355. Hurraira and Mohammad Suleman added 186 runs for the second wicket before Suleman was dismissed for 71, leaving Kingsmen Academy 118 runs behind with eight wickets in hand. PTV’s Mohammad Shahzad, who had set the record for the fastest century by a Pakistani in first-class cricket on the opening day, top-scored with 114 off 62 balls. Meanwhile, Markhor IT Solutions (MIT) declared their innings at 434-9 against Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), with Atiq-ur-Rehman scoring 138. SNGPL were reduced to 32-3 after early strikes by Muhammad Ismail and Mohammad Imran, leaving them trailing by 402 runs at stumps.
