The Election Commission rejected the decision to remove Chaudhry Shujaat from the party presidency

The Election Commission gave a reserved decision on the request to remove Chaudhry Shujaat from the presidency of Q-League. The Election Commission rejected the decision of the Central Working Committee. The decision states that the decision of the Central Working Committee has no legal status.

The Election Commission has given a reserved decision on Chaudhry Shujaat’s request. It should be noted that the Election Commission reserved its decision in August last year. Chaudhary Shujaat applied to Election Commission against his removal from the party presidency.

It should be noted that a consultative meeting of the (Q) League was held in the Muslim League House, Davis Road, in which it was decided to remove Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain from the presidency of the party. After which, instead of Chaudhry Shujaat, his brother Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain has been appointed as the president of the party. Apart from this, Tariq Bashir Cheema has been removed and Kamil Ali Agha has been made the party’s central secretary general.
