PARIS, 16 September 2026 (Nosheen): American model and businesswoman Kim Kardashian was awarded just one euro in damages in the case concerning the high-profile robbery she suffered in Paris in 2016, despite losing jewellery worth millions of dollars, according to foreign media reports. Kardashian described the incident as one of the most frightening experiences of her life. A French court last year convicted eight people in connection with the robbery. In a joint statement with her friend and stylist Simone Harouche, Kardashian thanked the French court, saying the case was about justice and accountability rather than financial compensation, while noting that the impact of the incident continues to affect her life. The court awarded €109,000 in damages to a former hotel receptionist who suffered severe psychological trauma during the incident, while the hotel management received €50,000 and Harouche was awarded one euro in damages, in accordance with her request. In October 2016, two men disguised as police officers entered Kardashian’s hotel room, tied her up and stole jewellery worth more than $6 million, including her famous diamond ring.
