LAHORE, 6 September, 2026 (Ghufran): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that Pakistan is strong today and its defence is invincible, paying tribute to the officers, soldiers, martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army. In her message on Defence Day and in remembrance of the martyrs of Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz said the Pakistan Army had demonstrated that wars were not won with weapons alone, but with faith, courage and conviction. The chief minister saluted the officers and personnel of the armed forces for their services and sacrifices for the country. She said the nation continued to pray for the safety and success of troops engaged in the fight against terrorism. Maryam Nawaz also praised the Pakistan Army for setting new standards of professionalism during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. She said the sacrifices of the armed forces and martyrs had strengthened Pakistan and made the country’s defence more resilient and invincible.
