ISLAMABAD, 05 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Saturday conducted large-scale combing and search operations in different areas of the federal capital as part of ongoing security measures. During the operations, police checked 277 people, 83 houses, 58 shops and 21 hotels, while 16 suspicious persons were shifted to police stations for further verification. An official said police teams were thoroughly briefed before the operations, while female police personnel also participated in the search activities. Police also checked 109 motorcycles and 56 vehicles at various locations. Fifteen motorcycles along with 16 suspicious persons were shifted to the respective police stations for further verification. The operations are part of continued security and checking measures aimed at maintaining law and order and enhancing public safety in Islamabad. ICT Police urged citizens to cooperate with police personnel during checking and immediately report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
