KARACHI, 27 August 2026 (Kamran Raja): Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Siddhu has welcomed the establishment of a regional office in Pakistan by Mobiz, a Pakistani-owned technology company based in Silicon Valley, United States.Mobiz has established its regional office at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Karachi, marking another significant development in Pakistan’s growing technology and digital services sector.The company provides technology solutions in various countries around the world, with expertise in cloud computing, data services, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Welcoming Mobiz’s expansion into Pakistan, Dr. Kabir Ahmed Siddhu said the country’s talented youth possessed immense potential to play a significant role in the global information technology market.He said the expansion of global technology companies into Pakistan reflected growing international confidence in the country’s IT talent and technological capabilities.
The SECP chairman said Pakistan had significant opportunities to develop into a regional technology and global services hub, adding that increased investment by international technology companies could create new employment opportunities for young people and enable them to work in global markets. Dr. Siddhu said the SECP was working on transparency, digitalisation and regulatory reforms to facilitate ease of doing business and create a more investor-friendly environment. He emphasised that the adoption of modern technology could help reduce business costs and processing time while improving transparency, efficiency and overall performance. The SECP chairman congratulated Mobiz Global on the opening of its Karachi office and expressed his best wishes for the company’s further expansion and success in Pakistan. He said the presence of international technology companies in Pakistan would contribute to the development of the country’s digital economy and provide new avenues for innovation, investment and employment.
