In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, President Trump said the United States has “massive amounts” of munitions, particularly in key categories, while emphasizing that additional supplies are being manufactured and delivered as needed.He further stated that American defence companies are undertaking an unprecedented expansion of production capacity, with new plants and manufacturing facilities being established across the country to strengthen the nation’s defence industrial base.
President Trump’s remarks came in response to media reports alleging concerns over dwindling US weapons inventories. According to published reports, questions had been raised regarding the availability of certain long-range guided missiles and air-defence interceptors, with some outlets suggesting that these issues had influenced recent military planning. Rejecting the reports, President Trump criticized what he described as inaccurate media coverage and warned against the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information, stating that individuals responsible for leaking classified or confidential details would be identified and face legal consequences.
The White House also denied reports claiming that President Trump had questioned Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth about munitions shortages during a recent Cabinet meeting at Camp David.
