Islamabad, August 6 (Nosheen): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir will undertake an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from August 6 to 8, the Foreign Office announced on Thursday. According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, the Pakistani delegation will also include Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, who is currently in Saudi Arabia after concluding his official visit to Jordan. During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold an important meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. The two sides are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, expand bilateral cooperation in various sectors, and exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.
The Foreign Office stated that the visit holds significant importance in promoting regional peace, diplomatic cooperation, and a coordinated approach toward ensuring stability in the Middle East.The spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to its diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East and supporting the peaceful resolution of regional disputes through dialogue and constructive engagement.The visit comes at a critical time amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and reflects Pakistan’s continued engagement with key regional partners to promote peace, stability, and closer strategic cooperation.
