Islamabad, August 3, 2026 (Ghufran): Security forces have continued conducting effective intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past two months under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, aimed at eliminating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace in the province. According to security sources, multiple hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists were destroyed during intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan. In one such operation conducted in the Khatti Kili area of North Waziristan, security forces successfully neutralized several terrorists.
A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and other military equipment was recovered from the slain militants during the operation. Reports also indicate that several other terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were injured during the engagements. Security sources stated that all operations are being carried out with utmost professionalism and precision to ensure the safety of civilians and protect the lives and property of the local population. Every effort is being made to avoid harm to innocent residents during these operations.The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to continuing intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until sustainable peace is restored and the menace of terrorism is completely eradicated.
