Terrorists attacked the police post in DI Khan with rocket launchers and hand grenades
Terrorists attacked the police post with rocket launchers and grenades, while four officers were injured in the firing. Terrorists attacked the police post established in Takwara area of Dera Ismail Khan; the terrorists used modern weapons including rocket launchers and hand grenades in the attack.
According to DPO Shoaib Khan, the terrorists fired more than 17 rocket launchers at the check post, and fired with modern weapons, as a result of which 4 police personnel were injured, while the terrorists were forced to flee due to the strong response of the police. As soon as the incident was reported, DPO Shoaib Khan and DSP Sadar Hafiz Adnan along with their squad arrived in time and gave a befitting reply to the terrorists. There are also reports that the terrorists were injured and killed. The DPO said that on receiving information about the incident, a heavy contingent of police, security forces and FC reached the spot, cordoned off the area and started a search operation, while the injured personnel were shifted to the hospital.
On the other hand Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in a statement has claimed the attack.
