
Rawalpindi, 01 August 2026(Ghufran): Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on August 1, 2026, in the general area of Razmak, North Waziristan District, following reports regarding the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna Al Khwarij.
During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists, killing five Indian-sponsored Khwarij.
During the intense exchange of fire, Major Hafiz Ihsan Elahi (34), a resident of District Mianwali, who was leading his troops from the front, fought with exceptional courage and embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
A cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists, who had remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, as well as the killing of innocent civilians.
A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area.
The Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain committed to continuing the nationwide counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
