Islamabad, April 27, 2026(Kamran Raja): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that following a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, approval has been granted for public attendance at all three playoff matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The Interior Minister shared that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to supporting sporting activities while ensuring public engagement in major national events. Cricket fans across the country will now be able to witness the high-stakes playoff matches live in stadiums.
However, the Prime Minister has emphasized an important condition accompanying this approval. Spectators are strongly encouraged to utilize public transportation or adopt measures to minimize fuel consumption while traveling to and from match venues. This advisory aligns with the government’s ongoing national austerity efforts aimed at promoting responsible resource usage.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended his best wishes to all four teams competing in the PSL playoffs, expressing hope for competitive and entertaining matches.
The government looks forward to a thrilling conclusion of the tournament, with fans playing their part in ensuring both an enjoyable and responsible sporting environment.
