COAS Interacts with Participants of 17th National Workshop Balochistan at GHQ

Rawalpindi, 21 October 2025(News Desk): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, interacted with participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at General Headquarters (GHQ) today.

During the interaction, the COAS stated that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan, blessed with vibrant, resilient, and patriotic people who are the province’s true wealth. He highlighted various development initiatives of the Federal and Provincial governments aimed at uplifting the socio-economic landscape of Balochistan through a people-centric approach. The COAS stressed the importance of realizing the province’s immense economic potential for the benefit of its people.

Acknowledging the constructive role of civil society, particularly in engaging and empowering the youth, the COAS underscored their pivotal contribution to sustainable development and national cohesion. He urged all segments of society to reject divisive and vested political agendas that hinder long-term prosperity in the province.

The COAS cautioned that Indian-sponsored proxies, Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij, are propagating anti-people and anti-development narratives with malicious intent to spread violence. He reaffirmed that all necessary measures are being taken to eliminate these terrorist elements and restore lasting peace in the province.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that while Pakistan continues to seek regional peace and stability, any violation of its territorial integrity—direct or indirect—will be met with a firm and decisive response to safeguard the lives and well-being of its citizens.

The session concluded with a candid and interactive question-and-answer session, during which participants engaged the COAS on various national and regional issues.
