Pakistani Forces Repel Coordinated Attacks by Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij; Heavy Losses Inflicted on Attacking Elements

RAWALPINDI- 15 October 2025(Kamran Raja): In the early hours of 15 October 2025, Afghan Taliban elements carried out a coordinated and cowardly attack at four locations in the Spin Boldak area of Balochistan. The attacks were effectively repulsed by Pakistani Forces. While defending the border, Pakistani troops engaged the attacking groups decisively. During the engagements, an estimated 15–20 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed and many others injured. The situation remains under close observation as reports indicate further build-up at staging points associated with Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban. The attackers deliberately targeted and devastated the Pak–Afghan Friendship Gate on the Afghan side — an act that underscores the hostile intent and disregard for the centuries-old ties of divided border communities and for cross-border trade and easement rights.

The Spin Boldak incident was not isolated. On the night of 14–15 October, combined elements of the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij attempted to assault Pakistani border posts in the Kurram Sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Those attacks were also repulsed by Pakistani troops, who responded with measured and proportionate force. In that operation, eight enemy posts and six hostile tanks were destroyed, and an estimated 25–30 enemy fighters were suspected to have been killed. Claims originating from the Taliban regime alleging that Pakistan initiated these hostilities, or that Pakistani posts or equipment were captured, are baseless and contrary to the facts. Such insinuations are outrageous and can be rebutted with straightforward factual verification. The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain fully resolute and prepared to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. All acts of aggression against Pakistan will be met with full and appropriate response.
